Charleston attorneys Gene W. Bailey, II, Carl L. Fletcher, Jr. and Charles R. Hughes have joined Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love LLP, according to Thomas A. Heywood, the law firm’s Managing Partner.

With nearly 65 years’ of legal experience between them, they will have an immediate, positive impact on Bowles Rice’s ability to serve clients throughout West Virginia, Kentucky and the region.” All three are joining the firm as Special Counsel, and will be based in the firm’s Charleston office.
Gene Bailey received his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1981. He went on to earn his law degree from West Virginia University in 1984. He is a former Assistant U. S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Carl Fletcher, a Charleston native, earned his law degree from West Virginia University in 1980 after receiving his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College.
Charles Hughes received his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2001, after earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marshall University. He is licensed to practice law in West Virginia and Kentucky.
