On March 20, several attorneys and staff members from our Martinsburg, West Virginia office volunteered with the Berkeley County Backpack Program to pack bags for students on Spring Break.
This organization is 100% volunteer nonprofit. They currently provide weekend food bags for 775 students at 25 schools in Berkeley County. Each week, they provide non-perishable food bags to kids in need for weekends and other times when school is not in session. Food bags contain: canned soup, canned pasta, mac-n-cheese, tuna salad and chicken salad kits, fruit cups, granola bars, nuts, peanut butter, crackers, fruit strips, cookies, trail mix, and cereal.
This nonprofit is doing great things for the students in the community, and Bowles Rice is very proud to volunteer!
