Charles F. "Chazz" Printz, Jr. focuses his practice on civil litigation. During his 35-plus year career, he has tried more than 80 jury trials to verdict and argued more than 40 appeals before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the Fourth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals. 

His practice includes all aspects of civil litigation, including employment law, Title IX investigation and litigation, business litigation, commercial disputes, financial services, employer liability, condemnation and wrongful death/personal injury.

Chazz’s experience in labor and employment law has gained him recognition by Best Lawyers in America for Employment Law (Management); Labor Law (Management); and Litigation (Labor and Employment).  To help clients prevent or manage problems in the workplace, he regularly provides counsel about employment issues, including wage and hour compliance, reasonable accommodation, employee discipline and discharge, alcohol and drug testing policies and harassment.

He also has defended employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation or harassment; sexual harassment; wrongful and retaliatory discharge; breach of contract; defamation and invasion of privacy in state and federal courts, as well as before federal and state administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.

Chazz served as president of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia from 2014 to 2015, and currently serves on the association’s Employment Law and Business Law Committees. He was a member of the Board of Governors from 2005 to 2016. In 2015, he was awarded the Defense Trial Counsel's Exceptional Performance Citation.

Chazz is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, and serves on the Law and Medicine Committee of the West Virginia State Bar. He also is a member of the Defense Research Institute and its Commercial Litigation Committee, as well as the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
