Three Bowles Rice Attorneys Recognized by Benchmark Litigation
Benchmark Litigation recently honored three Bowles Rice attorneys for their quality of work and experience in litigation matters in West Virginia.
Charles M. Love III, Gerard R. Stowers and J. Mark Adkins were recognized by the publication, which exclusively covers the litigation market. Mr. Love and Mr. Stowers were each honored as "Local Litigation Stars," while Mr. Adkins was named a "Future Star." Earlier this year, Benchmark Litigation named Bowles Rice its Firm of the Year in West Virginia, listing the firm as highly recommended.
Mr. Love concentrates his defense practice in class actions, mass toxic torts, insurance, products liability, commercial litigation and insurance defense. He has served as president of both the West Virginia State Bar and The West Virginia Bar Association, is a fellow of the American Bar Association, a fellow of the West Virginia State Bar and is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Mr. Stowers' primary practice areas include commercial and general civil litigation. He has nearly 35 years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including insurance coverage disputes, personal injury defense, automotive cases, work-place accidents, including mining, construction law, commercial disputes, personal injury defense, products liability, legal malpractice defense and employer liability litigation. He is immediate past president and charter member to the West Virginia Defense Trial Counsel.
Mr. Adkins is a member of the firm's Business Litigation Practice Group. His primary areas of practice include business litigation, commercial and contract disputes, financial services/banking litigation, energy litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes and personal injury and products liability litigation. Mr. Adkins is a member of the West Virginia Bar Association and past president of the Young Lawyers Section. He serves as chair of the West Virginia State Bar Lawyer Referral Service / Tuesday Legal Connect Committee.
