Bowles Rice Attorneys, Firm Recognized by Benchmark Litigation
CHARLESTON, West Virginia – Benchmark Litigation recently named regional law firm Bowles Rice as a Highly Recommended firm in West Virginia for litigation. The publication also recognized four of the firm’s attorneys for their work in litigation matters in West Virginia.
Bowles Rice attorney Jill E. Hall has been selected to Benchmark Litigation’s inaugural Under 40 Hot List, a new accolade of Benchmark, meant to honor highly qualified, exceptional partners of the age of 40 or younger. She is one of only two West Virginia lawyers named to the list.
Hall, a partner in the firm’s Charleston office, focuses her practice on the areas of employment law and employee benefits, ERISA and ERISA litigation, and has significant experience in advising employers, insurers and third-party administrators on the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. In 2014, she was named Bowles Rice’s diversity partner and oversees the firm’s diversity initiatives. She is peer-review rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.
Charles M. Love III, Gerard R. Stowers and J. Mark Adkins also were recognized by the publication. Love and Stowers were each named “Local Litigation Stars,” while Adkins was listed as a “Future Star.”
Stowers was recognized in the areas of construction, general commercial litigation and product liability. He has 40 years of experience in all aspects of business and civil litigation, focusing on insurance coverage disputes, construction law, business disputes, legal malpractice defense and coal, oil and gas litigation.
Love, recognized for his work in general commercial litigation, concentrates his defense practice in class actions, mass and toxic torts, products liability and commercial litigation.
Adkins’ 18-year career has been concentrated on complex and commercial litigation and trial work, with a majority of his experience in litigation involving the financial services and banking industry and the energy industry.
