Camden P. Siegrist
A practicing attorney with over 30 years of experience, Cam Siegrist concentrates his work on municipal bonds and related governmental financings, securities and commercial transactions. He is a leader of the firm’s Municipal Bonds and Public Finance practice group, as well as a member of its Tax Increment Financing (TIF) team. In 1985, he was issued a certificate by the West Virginia Board of Accountancy designating him a certified public accountant.
Cam has served as bond counsel on numerous bond-related matters – both new money and refunding issues, and tax-exempt and taxable bonds – for a wide variety of projects, including:
- Water and sewer systems
- Hospitals
- Nursing home facilities
- College and university facilities
- Libraries
- County and municipal buildings
- Qualified Zone Academy Bond (QZAB) projects
- Buildings and other facilities for boards of education
- Senior living retirement community facilities
- Infrastructure projects
- Equipment lease purchase agreements
- Recreational facilities
- Facilities for 501(c)(3) organizations
Additionally, and in connection with that work, he has served as underwriter’s counsel for general obligation road bonds, state office buildings, water and sewer projects, and college facilities.
He has represented the purchaser of bonds in numerous private placements, as well as lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, including loans secured by real and/or personal property, and has served as counsel to bond trustees and escrow trustees on a wide range of bond issues. Cam has represented clients in the sale or purchase of assets and in transactions in which stock or other equity interests are being bought or sold.
Cam serves as general counsel to several of the firm’s clients, including the West Virginia Hospital Finance Authority, for which he’s been counsel for over 30 years.
